Random Travel Jokes

How is the summer treating you so far. Enjoying your summer travel? Here are some really fun travel jokes that I stumbled upon while surfing the endless world of 'INTERNET'.

A mother and her son were flying TWA from Kansas to Chicago. The son (who had been looking out the window) turned to his mother and said, “If big dogs have baby dogs and big cats have baby cats, why don’t big planes have baby planes?” The mother (who couldn’t think of an answer) told her son to ask the stewardess. So the boy asked the stewardess, “If big dogs have baby dogs and big cats have baby cats, why don’t big planes have baby planes?” The stewardess asked, “Did your mother tell you to ask me?” He said that she had. So she said, “Tell your mother that TWA always pulls out on time.”

From a Southwest Airlines employee…. “Welcome aboard Southwest Flight XXX, to YYY. To operate your seatbelt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seatbelt, and if you don’t know how to operate one, you probably shouldn’t be out in public unsupervised. In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with two small children, decide now which one you love more.”

An elderly couple was driving cross-country, and the woman was driving. She gets pulled over by the highway patrol. The officer says, “Ma’am, did you know you were speeding?” The woman turns to her husband and asks, “What did he say?” The old man yells, “HE SAYS YOU WERE SPEEDING.” The patrolman says, “May I see your license?” The woman turns to her husband and asks, “What did he say?” The old man yells, “HE WANTS TO SEE YOUR LICENSE.” The woman gives him her license. The patrolman says, “I see you are from Arkansas. I spent some time there once, had the worst sex with a woman I have ever had.” The woman turns to her husband and asks, “What did he say?” “HE THINKS HE KNOWS YOU,” the old man yells.

A group of Americans was touring Ireland. One of the women in the group was a real curmudgeon, constantly complaining. The bus seats are uncomfortable. The food is terrible. It’s too hot. It’s too cold. The accommodations are awful. The group arrived at the site of the famous Blarney Stone. “Good luck will be followin’ ya all your days if you kiss the Blarney Stone,” the guide said. “Unfortunately, it’s being cleaned today and so no one will be able to kiss it. Perhaps we can come back tomorrow.” “We can’t be here tomorrow,” the nasty woman shouted. “We have some other boring tour to go on. So I guess we can’t kiss the stupid stone.” “Well now,” the guide said, “it is said that if you kiss someone who has kissed the stone, you’ll have the same good fortune.” “AndI suppose you’ve kissed the stone,” the woman scoffed. “No, ma’am,” the frustrated guide said, “but I’ve sat on it.”

Travel Tips for Vacation Makers

Summer is here! Where are you going this year? We all need vacations; we all need to recharge our batteries once in a while. Vacation undeniably is one of the best ways to release your stress. But before and while you are on vacation, one needs to be very careful especially if you are vacationing in a foreign country. Whether you are organizing your own trip or purchasing one of those vacation packages, right from the airport till you return home, we need to be very careful as even a slightest mistake can spoil your entire vacation.

Here are some simple and common yet very helpful tips to help you enjoy a hassle free vacation:

  1. Am pretty sure, I don’t have to add this on the list but let me just do it. Decide carefully on what kind of vacation you want. If you are looking for a stress free vacation, try to avoid hip and bustling cities such as New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Venice, London and Amsterdam. Because these are some of the most visited destinations and visiting any of these cities will just add more stress. Try one of the lesser known destinations. But if you want both the crowd plus relaxation, Bahamas and the Caribbean are a great option.
  2. Be wise in choosing the right travel agent. But instead of a regular travel agent, why don’t you go for an online travel websites. Am sure you will find these websites much cheaper. Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity are some really awesome sites. Don’t forget to compare the rates using websites such as FareCompare and TripMama. Please before finalizing on anything, read the terms and conditions of the website, incase, in future, if you want any changes or cancelation. Just as they offer great airfare deals and vacation packages, they are also very good in ripping customers.
  3. It is always advisable to learn atleast some basic words, if you are traveling to a foreign country. It will help you greatly. If you are visiting a conservative country such as the countries in Middle East, India, Pakistan and so on, please dress as conservative as you can. Unless you enjoy unwanted attention! Don’t forget to take you vaccination as per the country. Collect your country embassy phone number, address and email in that particular city or area.
  4. While shopping, try to bargain as hard as you can. But also research before you head out where bargaining is allowed or not. In countries such as India, China, Thailand, Pakistan, Bargaining is a must in almost every shopping areas and bazaars, with exceptions in malls.
  5. It’s good to party really hard and get waste sometimes, but I would encourage you to do this only when you are with your closest buddies. But do you really want to spoil their night out taking care of you. Try to keep the alcohol intake to minimum or should I say in limit. Excessive alcohol use is a big NO for solo travelers, whether you are a guy or a girl. We all know that once we start drinking, it’s almost impossible to stop. For solo travelers, you have no one to take care of you. There have been many cases where travelers have been robbed while drunk and even sexually assaulted especially in India.
  6. Drugs are another big NO. No matter where you are going, try to avoid drugs and drug dealers. Am sure no one would like to land in a foreign jail especially in a third world country.
  7. These are some common things that you need to be careful while going on a vacation. But the most important of all is, don’t forget to have fun, after all you have worked really hard for this.
